Mr. Kenneth G. Moore

Ken Moore is trustee and chairman of the board at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Previously, Moore served as chief administrative officer and chief program officer, where he oversaw the core operations of the foundation, the foundation's grant making, supporting local conservation and informal science learning. At the foundation for more than a decade, Moore has also served as director of evaluation, information technology and facilities, and as research director.
Moore comes to the foundation with 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, where he held various positions in operations planning and control, computer systems development, supply chain and logistics, and customer fulfillment. Prior to joining the foundation, he worked at Signetics Corporation in Sunnyvale, California, and later at Philips Semiconductors.
Moore co-founded and has served as 10-year board president of the Bullis Charter School, one of the top 10 highest-performing public schools in California. He also serves on the boards of the Exploratorium, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Moore Family Foundation. Moore holds a degree in business administration and lives with his wife and two children in Los Altos Hills.
