Mr. Jon B. Kutler

Jon Kutler is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, from which he holds a bachelor's degree in naval architecture. He received his MBA from Harvard University.
Kutler began his investment banking career on Wall Street after serving 10 years in various positions as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Goldman Sachs and the First Boston Corporation, and was a founding partner at Wasserstein, Perella & Co. before founding Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc. (QIP) in 1992. Kutler grew QIP into the leading global merger-and-acquisition firm in the aerospace and defense sectors, and sold it to NYSE-traded Jefferies & Company, Inc. in 2002.
Kutler is also an active investor in the aerospace and defense industry. He owns numerous operating companies through Admiralty Partners, Inc., a personally funded private equity firm he founded in 1996. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Hawaii Community Foundation.
An internationally recognized expert on aerospace and defense issues, Kutler has written numerous articles for trade and business publications, been a frequent television commentator, testified before congressional committees, and run a presidential commission.
