Mr. Arthur L. Goldstein
Art Goldstein is the retired chairman and CEO of Ionics, Incorporated, a world-renowned pioneer in the field of water desalination and purification. He is a life member of the California Institute of Technology board and a trustee of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. He previously served: as a director of State Street Corporation, Cabot Corporation, Jobs for Massachusetts, the MIT Energy Initiative; as a member of the visiting committee at Harvard Business School and Harvard School of Public Health; as a trustee at Mass General Brigham, Dana-Farber/Partners Cancer Care; as the chairman of the Massachusetts High Technology Council, the Rensselaer Council and Brandeis International Business School. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Governance from the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is the holder of 19 U.S. patents in areas relating primarily to the purification and processing of liquids. He received a BS in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MS in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
