Dr. Kneeland Youngblood
Kneeland Youngblood, is Founding Partner, Chairman, and CEO of Pharos Capital Group, a private equity firm that invests in the healthcare service sector focused on improving patient outcomes, lowering the cost of healthcare and creating greater access for patients.
Mr. Youngblood currently serves on the board of Scientific Games Corporation, TPG Pace Tech Opportunities Corporation and TPG Pace Beneficial Finance Corporation. In addition, he serves on the board of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. He previously served on the board of two Special Purpose Acquisition Companies, TPG Pace II and TPG Pace I which both completed successful transactions in 2017 and 2019 (Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange) respectively. He also served on the board of Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU), Starwood Hotels and Lodging, Gap Inc., Burger King, iStar Financial (a mortgage REIT), American Beacon Advisors (a subsidiary of American Airlines where he chaired the Board) and the United States Enrichment Corporation (Presidential appointment with Senate confirmation under President Bill Clinton). He serves and has served on multiple private and not for profit boards, including the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a Gubernatorial appointment by Governor Ann Richards confirmed by the State Senate.
Mr. Youngblood is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and graduated from Princeton University in 1978 with an A.B in Politics/Science in Human Affairs and earned an M.D. degree from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in 1982.
