Camilla Frost is a life trustee of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and a trustee of the Chandler Trusts as well as a trustee emerita of Wellesley College. She is the grand-daughter and daughter of Harry Chandler and Norman Chandler, respectively, who were both longtime trustees of the Institute. The Chandler family and Times Mirror Company have been very supportive of Caltech over the years, their philanthropy having created the Norman Chandler Professorship of Cell Biology, the Norman Chandler Professorship of Chemical Biology, the Chandler Family Professorship of Geology, and the Norman Chandler Scholarship Fund, as well as the Norman Chandler Memorial Laboratory in Braun Labs, and the Camilla Chandler Frost Laboratories in the Broad Center. Frost also served as co-chair of Caltech's successful Biological Sciences Initiative.
Frost received her BA in zoology from Wellesley College.
