Richard M. Rosenberg is a retired chairman and chief executive officer of Bank of America. He is a retired commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve, a member of the California Bar Association, a life member of the California Institute of Technology, a past president of the Bank Marketing Association and the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System; a past chairman of MasterCard International and the United Way of the Bay Area. He has served as a director of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, Saga Foods, the San Francisco Symphony, the Naval War College Foundation, Airborne Express Corporation, SBC Communications, UCSF-Stanford Health Care, Chronicle Publishing Company, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Healthcare Property, Inc., and Pacific Life Insurance Company, and chairman of the executive council of the UCSF Medical Center. He is a member of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has been named to the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame and has received the Horatio Alger Award.
